This is the personal site of Frederick Aya. This page explains what the site processes when you choose to contact me, use Ask Fred, or interact with a measured article feature.
What you can choose to send
- Your name, email, company, reason for requesting a resume, and any optional job link or role description you submit
- An email you choose to send after following a case-study or contact link
- A question you choose to submit to Ask Fred
Do not put confidential, sensitive, or personal information into Ask Fred.
How it is used
- To review your request and prepare a reply for Fred to review and send
- To reply when you choose to send an email
- To answer from approved public pages and suggest relevant links
- To protect the site and its AI budget from abuse
I do not buy, sell, rent, or add your information to a newsletter.
Services that process data
- Cloudflare hosts this site and may process standard request data, such as IP address, user agent, and timestamp, for security and operations.
- Cloudflare D1 stores resume requests in a private database. Slack receives a private notification with your contact details and request context. Google Workspace stores the prepared email draft and any later correspondence. Submitting a request does not send you an automatic email or grant access to the private resume.
- Cloudflare Workers AI and AI Gateway process Ask Fred questions and approved public-page excerpts when AI answers are enabled. Prompt and response logging is disabled. The site keeps aggregate request status, latency, token, and cost metrics without conversation content.
- Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine counts aggregate interactions on the Abundance field note. The event contains a note identifier, event name, and short source label. The site does not add a cookie or personal identifier to that event.
- Your email provider and mine process a message when you follow an email link and choose to send it.
If an AI answer is unavailable, Ask Fred falls back to local site guidance in your browser. The model has no tools and cannot send email, grant resume access, browse the web, or take actions for you.
Cookies and local storage
The site does not run advertising trackers or third-party pixels. The Abundance field note uses first-party aggregate event counting without a cookie. Owner-only pages set an essential, http-only cookie so access control works. Ask Fred does not use local storage or a conversation cookie.
Retention
Resume request records become eligible for deletion after 90 days and are removed when the request processor next runs. Email drafts, correspondence, and Slack notifications follow their providers' retention settings. You can ask me to delete your request. Ask Fred conversation content is not intentionally stored by this site. Rate controls use a non-reversible identifier derived from the request address rather than storing the raw address as request or chatbot metadata.
