A used-car check before you pay the deposit

A used-car pre-purchase service in two layers, live at prepurchasepro.com. One reviewer reads the listing, photos and documents against each other and marks every seller claim; a vetted inspector then sees the car and the file closes with a Buy, Negotiate, or Walk verdict.

The purpose

A used-car listing is a sales document. Buyers cannot tell which claims the photos and records support, which they contradict, and which nothing settles. An inspection booked blind tests nothing in particular, and the deposit is usually gone before anyone reads the paperwork.

Claims marked on paper, tested on the car, closed with a verdict

The buyer sends the listing. A reviewer marks each claim and writes the brief. An inspector tests the claims on the car and closes the file with a verdict.

Example route: a record conflict becomes the first thing the inspector checks.

    My part

I designed the evidence model and the two-layer service, wrote the copy, and built the page through three critique rounds: an expert usability review, a design and copy director pass, and a mobile redline measured against written acceptance checks.

    In practice

Live and taking listings by email. Reviews and inspections are booked by hand while the operations layer is built.

The example file is constructed and says so on the page. A record conflict is a reason to ask, not a finding about the car. Only the inspector's visit produces the verdict.
